Welcome Dr Ming Haw Yong
We are delighted to welcome Dr Ming Haw Yong to Myhealth Boronia.
Dr Ming Haw Yong completed his medical degree at University of Dundee in UK in 2006. Since graduating, he has worked at multiple hospitals in the United Kingdom, Singapore and Melbourne, with extensive experience in acute and emergency medicine.
Ming has special interests in chronic disease management, acute medicine, skin, sexual health and preventative medicine. He is also able to provide cosmetic injectables with anti-wrinkles and dermal fillers, and bio-remodelling/anti aging injections. Occasionally, he will work in the Emergency Department to maintain his skills and interests.
He is also able to consult in Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka.
He specialises in: Skin cancer checks, Minor surgical procedures, Cosmetics injections, Immunisations, Sexual health, Chronic disease management, Preventative medicine, Acute and emergency medicine

The doctors at Myhealth Boronia are passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of doctors. Dr Yip Thum and Dr Fandy Wang will be supervising Melbourne University students on regular basis from March 2024 onwards. We appreciate your understanding and support of the teaching process which will not affect our delivery of high standard of medical care for our patients.

Bulk billing is available for all MyMedicare Enrolled patients until 1st April 2024 for weekdays consult only. Enrolled Pensioner/Concession/Under 16 will be bulk billed including weekends consult from 1st November 2023.
Non- Enrolled Pensioner/Concession/Under 16 will be bulk billed on weekdays only. To qualify for bulk billing weekend consult please Enrol or ask our receptionist on how to Enrol.
Bulk billing is still available for short consults (e.g. script repeats, sick/carer certificate, administering vaccination).
All Public holiday/Sunday consults will be subjected to a gap fee of $30 regardless of Enrolment or Concession status.

What is private billing?
Private billing means that patients will be charged an out of pocket gap fee for the consultation on the day.
We will continue to Bulk Bill DVA/Age Pensioners, Concession Card holders, and Children under the age of 16.
How will the fee be processed?
You will be charged the full amount of consultation fee to your credit or debit card at the end of your consultation. We then, process your Medicare Rebate on behalf of you electronically. The
rebate should appear in your bank account within 1-2 business days.
Alternatively, please bring your debit card with you on your visit and we can process your rebate on the spot.
Please make sure you have provided your updated Medicare details and sufficient funds in your account.
Cancellation/No Show Policy
No show/ cancellation fee for GP/NP appointment 2 hours prior to the appointment: $30-$60
No show/ cancellation fee for Allied Health Appointment 24 hours prior to the appointment: $30
