Dr Jeanne Winarta is a highly skilled and dedicated General Practitioner with a special focus in reproductive medicine, fertility care, and family planning. She practises at Demeter Fertility’s Hurstville clinic, where she provides fertility consultations and reproductive care, and also sees patients for broader general practice care at MyHealth Top Ryde.
Dr Winarta completed her medical degree at Bond University in 2010 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. She holds a Master’s qualification in Reproductive Medicine and a Diploma in Child Health, reflecting her broad clinical training and experience across reproductive, paediatric, and family medicine.
She has a strong passion for fertility care, including pre-conception planning, infertility management, menstrual and hormonal health, endometriosis, adenomyosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She provides comprehensive family planning services, offering contraception and fertility counselling, as well as Implanon and intrauterine device (Mirena, Kyleena, and copper IUD) insertion and removal. Dr Winarta places strong emphasis on shared decision-making and continuity of care, supporting patients through complex and often emotionally challenging reproductive journeys.
Dr Winarta also has a special interest in metabolic medicine, including insulin resistance, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, and is particularly passionate about sustainable weight-loss and lifestyle-based interventions to improve long-term metabolic and reproductive health.
Mental health is a key focus of her practice. She supports patients experiencing depression, anxiety, eating disorders, post-partum mood disorders, and adjustment disorders related to infertility, and takes a compassionate, whole-person approach that recognises the close connection between physical health, mental wellbeing, and life circumstances.
She is an accredited Hepatitis B s100 community prescriber and manages viral hepatitis and other liver conditions, including hepatitis C and fatty liver disease. Her practice spans care across all life stages, with particular interests in child health, antenatal care, women’s and men’s health, geriatric medicine, sports medicine, and travel medicine.
Dr Winarta believes strongly in holistic family care and is a passionate advocate for the principle that prevention is better than cure. She values patient education and empowerment, helping individuals and families make informed decisions about their health across different stages of life. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family and friends.
