Meet Joshua Sedgwick
Josh graduated from the Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Physiotherapy. He has experience working with patients suffering from acute and chronic conditions in private practice, sporting and hospital settings. Josh has been involved with many sports clubs, both as a physiotherapist and an athlete. This experience has helped him relate to the challenges faced during rehabilitation and how to overcome them to achieve health goals.
Josh believes in the importance of a patient-centred approach taking into consideration how biological, physiological, and social factors interconnect and influence recovery. He does this by working closely with patients to formulate an individualised plan that addresses their needs and assists them to return to full physical function. He uses a combination of treatment modalities including manual therapy, exercise and education.
Josh has a special interest in golf physiotherapy. He is a former state representative player and a qualified TPI instructor. Josh works with golfers to optimise performance and reduce risk of injury.
