UNIVERSAL BULK BILLING COMMENCING 1 JULY 2026

From 1 July 2026, our practice will transition to a Universal Bulk Billing model for all eligible standard Medicare consultations.

This means that all routine GP appointments covered by Medicare will be bulk billed, with no out-of-pocket costs for patients. Our goal is to improve access to care, simplify billing processes, and support a more streamlined and sustainable practice model.

Please note that fees will continue to apply for services not covered by Medicare, including medical reports and forms, procedures, and other privately billed items. Our reception team will always advise you of any applicable fees prior to your appointment.

Updated Billing Policy – In Line with the Medicare Universal Bulk Billing Initiative

Our billing policy has been updated to align with the new Medicare bulk billing initiative, providing Medicare-eligible patients the opportunity to access high-quality care with no out-of-pocket costs.

Please be sure to advise reception at the time of booking if you have a Health Care/Concession/Pension or DVA card, so we can add these to your files and avoid any unnecessary charges.

Whilst fees for Medicare-eligible patients can be bulk billed for many services, consultation fees are also outlined here to ensure transparency for all patients who choose the high-quality care at our clinic. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak with one of our friendly staff members.

Myhealth Wellington Point offers bulk billing for patients over 16 years of age with a valid Medicare card with an attached Health Care Card, Pension Card or DVA Card.

Please note that for repeat dressings, patients will need to provide their own supplies after the initial dressing.

To book appointments for procedures, vaccinations, care plans, or mental health plans, please call our friendly reception staff. Online bookings are not available for these types of appointments.

Please also note that if you are not booked with your regular GP, consultation fees may apply.

We are conveniently located at Lot 2, On Point 687-689 Cleveland Road East, Wellington Point, QLD 4160. The medical centre is brand new and purpose-built with state-of-the-art facilities available to deliver high-quality modern medical care to our patients.

This is a safe space, and all patients are treated with inclusivity & empathy by Wellington Point doctors. We offer appointments in advance, as well as the option for a walk-in consultation depending on availability.

Wellington Point medical clinic's opening hours & days can be viewed at the top of this page. Should you require medical assistance outside these hours, we now offer an after-hours service. You can access this service by calling the National Home Doctors Service after-hours care team on 13 SICK (13 7425).

Services Available with Wellington Medical Practice

The doctors at Wellington Point Medical clinic can help with concerns regarding general health, such as asthma, diabetes, heart health, mental health, sexual health, IUD insertion, and pathology, amongst many others.

Wellington Point doctors can also offer vaccinations for children, travel, COVID and influenza. Vaccinations, along with long appointments and care plans cannot be booked online. Please call Wellington Point medical centre directly to discuss bookings for these appointments.

To ensure services are fair for all, Wellington Point medical practice operates a non-attendance policy. If you cannot make your appointment, or desire to cancel an appointment for any reason, please call to let us know. Any patient who fails to attend two scheduled appointments within 12 months will be charged a fee for a 3rd missed appointment. This is to ensure appointments are used efficiently and that all patients in need have the opportunity to attend.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We run on an appointment-only basis; therefore, we suggest booking an appointment in advance. However, we will always try to fit you in when we can, subject to availability on the day and the emergency of the situation.

Am I eligible for a telehealth consultation?

Under Medicare, telehealth consultations are only available to existing patients who have seen their GP in person in the last 12 months.

Do you have access to my medical records from another Myhealth?

No, we do not have access to your records; however, we can obtain them by request. Please allow a week prior to your appointment to guarantee we have received these from your other clinic.
