Who is eligible for a free flu vaccination?
Flu vaccines are provided free of charge under the National Immunisation Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged six months and over, children aged six months to under five years, pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy, adults aged 65 years and over, and people aged six months and over with medical conditions that put them at higher risk of serious illness. Consult with your Myhealth GP to confirm your eligibility and learn more about what’s available in your area.
When should I get my flu vaccination?
To give the vaccine time to take effect, it’s best to get your flu shot as early as possible. Getting vaccinated early helps ensure you’re protected throughout the peak of flu season. Don’t wait, book your appointment today.

Myhealth St Helena (previously St Helena Mediplex) is a fully accredited, privately billing general practice, which has served the local community since 1996.
Our aim is to give our patients the highest possible quality of care, by ensuring excellence in all aspects of our practice. We endeavour to provide patients with the best and most current treatments, methods, materials and equipment within our resource capabilities to ensure that the patients receive the high quality of care they have come to expect.

Wheelchair/Scooter/ Pram friendly. Access via ramp at the right hand side of the building. We have 4 designated disabled parking spots available at the front and side of the building. Our bathroom facilities are also wheelchair and pram accessible. We also have a baby change table.

Pricing/Fees
Myhealth St Helena is a Private Billing Practice. Payment at time of consultation is preferred.
Pension and Health Care card holders and children aged 13-17 will be charged the reduced fee.
Children under 13 will be bulk billed during normal* surgery hours. (*Monday – Friday: 8.30 am – 5 pm). Outside of these times, the reduced fee will be charged.
Veteran Affairs Gold card patients will be bulk billed.
Procedures and minor surgery will incur a private fee. Please check with your doctor at the time of booking for any out of pocket fees.
Bulk billing is at the discretion of the individual Doctor.
Non-Attendance / Cancellation Policy
Failure to attend or cancel within the required 2-hour notice period will incur a non-attendance fee equivalent to the consultation fee, at the doctor's discretion.

Are you a bulk billing clinic?
Myhealth St Helena is a mixed billing clinic. We bulk bill children under 13 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. There is a reduced fee outside of these times. Pension card and Healthcare card holders and teens (13-17 years old) will also be charged a reduced fee. Veteran Affairs card holders are bulk billed. Procedures and minor surgeries incur a private fee. A list of our most commonly used fees can be found on our website or by phoning the clinic.

How will the fee be processed?
You will be charged the full amount of the consultation fee at the end of your consultation. If you have a debit card, we can process the Medicare rebate on the spot. Otherwise, we can submit it electronically on your behalf, and the rebate should appear in your bank account within 1-2 business days. Please ensure you have registered your bank details with Medicare.

Do I need an appointment for a referral, repeat script, or a medical certificate?
Yes, you will need to speak to the doctor. Please contact the clinic to book an appointment.

Am I able to have a Telehealth appointment?
To be eligible for a Telehealth appointment, you must have had a face-to-face consultation with one of our GPs in the last 12 months.

Do you have any other services onsite?
Yes, we have Australian Clinical Labs (pathology) on site, along with Physiotherapy, Psychology, and Podiatry. We also have a visiting Dietitian.
