FAQs
Everything you need to know about Hampton Medical Centre
-
Do you send appointment reminders?
We utilize the Automed booking system. In general, you will receive a reminder SMS message the day before your appointment. Please reply “Y” for yes to confirm your appointment. If you reply with “N” for no, then your appointment will be automatically cancelled. You cannot cancel via the SMS if your appointment is less than 3 hours away. Please note that non-attendances to appointments without adequate notification may attract a cancellation fee.
-
What if I am running late for my appointment?
We understand that sometimes, despite our best efforts, things occur that make us late. If you are running late, please call us and speak to a member of the reception team. They will guide you as to the best course of action. If you arrive late without prior notice, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
-
What if my doctor is running late for my appointment?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of general practice, it is often difficult for the doctors to run on time. We recommend calling the clinic prior to your appointment (the closer to the appointment time the more accurately we can estimate) and one of our reception team will do their best to let you know if the doctor is on time.
-
How do I get my test results?
Your results follow-up should be discussed with the doctor at the time of them referring you for your test. Generally, normal results or results not requiring further action will be communicated with you via SMS within 7 days of your results being reported. Your doctor may call you to discuss your results, or they may request an appointment if the discussion needs to be more in-depth. Alternatively, you may receive an SMS to return to discuss your results.
