Dr Yanna Ko is an accredited Australian Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. She graduated medical school with first class Honours from the University of NSW. She completed her advanced Gastroenterology and Physician's training in various hospitals across Sydney. 

Dr Ko is passionate about improving the gastrointestinal wellbeing of her patients and providing personalised care. She has a special interest in how our gut health is influenced by internal and external factors, and has been granted the prestigious National Health Medical Research Council Scholarship for her PhD research into the gut microbiome and its relationship to conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome. She has given talks in multiple gastro conferences nationally and internationally, and has published multiple publications in her field. 

Dr Ko has been awarded accreditation for gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She performs endoscopies (gastroscopies, colonoscopies, polypectomies) in private hospitals (Alexandria Specialist Day Hospital, Central Sydney Private Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital) and has a public appointment in Canterbury Hospital as a consultant gastroenterologist where she performs endoscopies and treats complex cases. 

Dr Ko is multilingual and can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin.She enjoys spending time with her family and getting to know different people from different walks of life.
