    Meet Dr Phin Lim

    Meet Dr Phin Lim

    Dr Phin Lim MBBS (London), FRACGP, FAMAC is an experienced General Practitioner and GP Supervisor with more than two decades of medical experience in the United Kingdom and Australia.

    Dr Lim graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London, in 1999. She began her medical career in the UK, working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, The Harley Street Clinic and Broomfield Hospital. After moving to Australia in 2007, she continued her hospital career at Gosford Hospital before relocating to the Gold Coast, where she has worked in general practice since 2008.

    Dr Lim is passionate about providing holistic, personalised and continuous care. Her clinical interests include women’s health, chronic disease management and pain management.

    She also has a special interest in medical acupuncture. Dr Lim completed her Fellowship with the Australian Medical Acupuncture College in 2014 and incorporates acupuncture as a complementary approach to conventional medical care. She has particular experience using acupuncture in conditions such as dysmenorrhoea, migraine, musculoskeletal pain, anxiety, depression and menopause-related symptoms. She also contributes to the field of medical acupuncture as a mentor and examiner for the Australian Medical Acupuncture College.

    Medical education is another important part of Dr Lim’s work. For more than a decade, she has supported medical students from Bond University and Griffith University as an educator. As a GP Supervisor, she also enjoys mentoring and guiding GP registrars throughout their training.

    Dr Lim speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka, allowing her to communicate with and care for patients from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.

    Outside of medicine, Dr Lim enjoys family life on the Gold Coast with her husband and two children
