Meet Dr Thusha Murugathasan
Dr Thusha Murugathasan has been a GP for several years and is passionate about delivering quality medical care, addressing patients’ care needs, and improving health outcomes in the long-term. She studied medicine at University of New South Wales, having graduated with honors in 2005. She undertook her hospital training in Concord, Bankstown and St George Hospitals, prior to undertaking her postgraduate training in general practice. She received her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011. She has been working at myhealth Wentworth Point since 2017. She is a supervisor of registrars undertaking their training in general practice and places great value in providing education and mentorship to doctors in training, as part of enabling and maintaining quality patient care for the future. She enjoys all areas of general practice, with an interest in chronic disease management (including diabetes, heart disease, depression, asthma, weight management) and women’s health.
