Meet Dr Tahmina Khatoon
Dr Tahmina Khatoon is a vocationally registered general practitioner (FRACGP). She is an international medical graduate (MBBS) with post-graduate qualifications (MD) in paediatrics.
Dr Khatoon has fifteen years of experience as a medical doctor working both in Australia and overseas. She worked in North Queensland – at the Mater Hospital, The Townville Hospital, and in the Emergency Department of Mount Isa Hospital in the northwest, outback mining town. In northern NSW, Tahmina worked at the Ballina District Hospital and at the Alstonville Medical Centre. She worked for two years at the Riverside Family Practice in Casino, NSW before joining Myhealth on the Gold Coast. In Bangladesh, she worked both in primary care settings as well as in hospitals as a child specialist.
Dr Khatoon is passionate about child health, women’s health, mental health, and the health of the elderly. She has a keen interest in chronic disease management.
Tahmina loves gardening, cooking, and listening to music. She also loves animals, especially cats and birds including magpies!
