Dr Ryan Shannan

Dr Ryan Shannan is a GP with a special interest in dermatology and skin cancer medicine.

Dr. Shannan completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2009. Since then, he has accumulated a wealth of medical experience across various departments in multiple hospitals. Ryan has been practicing as a GP in the remote town of Echuca along the Murray River since 2013 until his recent transition back to Sydney. 

His experience as a country doctor has afforded him unique insights into a diverse array of complex health issues that are less commonly encountered in metropolitan settings.

Over the years, he has developed a particular interest in dermatology, with a focus on skin cancer diagnosis and surgery, mental health, chronic pain, musculoskeletal issues, as well as heart and respiratory medicine. 

Dr. Shannan is also well-versed in offering cosmetic consultations and treatments, along with managing complications. He has presented at various national and international conferences and takes great pleasure in mentoring junior doctors and medical students.

He maintains his fitness through resistance training and strength exercises. An avid traveler and adventurer, he looks forward to discovering the numerous beautiful beaches and attractions that Sydney has to offer.

Ryan is eager to continue this commitment at Myhealth Potts Point while delivering exceptional medical care. Furthermore, he is bilingual, fluent in both English and Arabic, and is currently enhancing his proficiency in Spanish.
