Dr Ryan Mitchell

Ryan completed a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at The University of Sydney, before working at Prince of Wales and Canterbury hospitals. In his time working in inpatient medicine, Ryan has gained experience in medical and surgical specialties, including Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, and Paediatrics.

Ryan particularly enjoys Paediatric medicine, having worked as a Paediatric Registrar at Canterbury Hospital, and is currently completing further education in the field. He was drawn to General Practice due to the unique opportunity to be involved in family medicine.

On the weekends, Ryan works with Norths Rugby club, providing medical cover for 1st and 2nd grade Shute Shield matches, and occasional shifts in the Canterbury Hospital Emergency Department.

When not working or studying, Ryan enjoys spending his time swimming at the beach, and is an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy novels.
