Meet Dr Ruban Sankar
Additional Languages: Sinhala and Tamil
Dr Sankar graduated from University of Jaffna, Srilanka in 2005 then moved to Australia in 2007 and passed Australian Medical Council (AMC) examinations and completed requirements. He has worked as a Doctor in various specialities since then (Emergency, General Surgery and Medicine, Psychiatry, Women’s Health) in various Hospitals (Sunshine and Footscray hospitals Victoria, Nepean Hospital NSW, Mater Women’s Hospital QLD)
After completing his GP training in NSW (Moree and Ballina), Dr Sankar completed his extended skills term in Aged Care Medicine. He then completed an Advanced Diploma in Women’s Health in Bathurst Hospital, allowing him to perform pap smears and minor surgeries including skin biopsies. In his leisure time, Dr Ruban Sankar enjoys cycling and yoga and travelling is his passion!
