Meet Dr Dayan Rukmal Kirineliya Gamage
Dr Rocky Gamage graduated with a Bachelor of medicine / Bachelor of surgery (MBBS) from the University of Colombo in 2004. He commenced his practise and training in Family Medicine. He joined a regional hospital in Sri Lanka in 2007 and started working as a generalist with special skills in Anaesthesiology. In 2010, Dr Gamage relocated to Australia and received his certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC) in 2011. He became a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2014. Rocky obtained a few other qualifications including a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) in 2012, a certificate course in Sexual and Reproductive Health in 2013 and a certificate of Primary Care Dermatology. He strives to enhance his knowledge and skills and regularly attends leading medical conferences in Australia and around the world. Dr Gamage’s vast experience and medical qualifications set him apart as a highly competent GP in Mortlake. He specialises in all areas of general medicine and has a particular interest in Autoimmune Diseases, Healthy Aging and Food Allergies and Intolerances. He continues to gain knowledge in complementary and integrative medicine. Rocky lives with his wife Dilum who is also a medical professional and works as a consultant psychiatrist at Concord Hospital. They both love a simple and an active lifestyle. They enjoy traveling, hiking and remain active in the local community. In addition to English, Dr Gamage speaks Sinhalese with fluency.
