On completion of her MBBS in 1999, she worked the next 10 years in hospitals across the UK and overseas (Gibraltar). Although she thoroughly enjoyed working in hospital she realised she had found her calling as a GP. She trained as a GP registrar in Chelmsford, Essex and continued to work there after her training. Dr Lim emigrated with her husband to Australia in February 2007, after they met on an adventure tour to Egypt. She worked initially for one year in Gosford hospital, NSW before embarking as a GP on the Gold Coast where she has been since March 2008. Dr Lim has had a long interest in traditional Chinese medicine and completed her Fellowship training in acupuncture in 2014. She believes that acupuncture can in many ways complement her work as a GP. For the last two years, she has been an examiner and trainer for the Acupuncture College and Medical students from Bond University and Griffith University. Dr Lim also has interests in Women’s health and Mental health and strives to be the best medical practitioner she can be. Dr Lim lives on the Gold Coast with her husband and two children.
