Meet Dr Merina Ila
Dr. Merina, after completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, has gained extensive experience working across a variety of specialties in both metropolitan and regional healthcare settings including Austin Hospital, Royal Talbot Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Kingston Centre and Mildura Base Hospital in range of specialties including emergency medicine, general medicine, specialty surgery, child health, women health, mental health (including adolescent mental health, aged mental health, consultation liaison psychiatry), rehabilitation medicine, hospital in the home, geriatrics before moving to general practice.
Dr. Merina is passionate about all aspects of general practice, particularly emergency medicine, women’s health, child health, mental health, and chronic disease management.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Merina enjoys spending quality time with her family and children, exploring new travel destinations, or tending to her garden, where she grows herbs and greens.
Dr. Merina has joined Myhealth Bayside as a RACGP AGPT GP Registrar and is available for consultations from Monday to Friday. She also consults in Bengali, Hindi where it is of assistance.
