Meet Dr Mark Toppin
Special interests: Dermatology including skin checks and skin cancer medicine, men’s health, chronic disease prevention & control, endocrinology, travel medicine.
Mark graduated from the University of Tasmania and worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital, commencing basic physician training before deciding on General Practice.
During his time in physician training he developed an interest primarily in endocrinology and haematology.
Mark then moved to Sydney to undertake further training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before completing General Practice training in Sydney.
Mark also has an interest in General Practice education and training and works part-time as a Medical Educator.
His main roles are mentoring General Practice trainees, lecturing in dermatology and chronic disease management, policy review and clinical teaching visits. He is also an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practice.
Mark also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney, a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and a Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Dundee.
