Meet Dr Louise Gore-Jones
Special Interests: Skin Cancer Checks, Skin Surgery, Women’s Health, Chronic Disease Management, Preventative Health, Travel medicine, Preventative and Public Health.
Dr Louise Gore-Jones (B.Sc MBBS FRACGP) obtained her combined degree of medicine and surgery at the University of Queensland in 2002 through the post graduate medicine program. Prior to this she completed a degree in biochemistry, also at the University of Queensland, St Lucia campus.
She has continued to work in and around Brisbane throughout her training, and in the Toowong/Taringa area since being awarded her Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008.
Her areas of interest include:
- Minor surgery : removal of moles and skin lesions, treatment of ingrown toenails, management of injuries
- Women’s health : including contraception and Pap smears
- Weight loss and preventative health
- Diabetes management
- Asthma management
- Heart Disease prevention and management
