Dr Julia Degroot

Dr. Julia De Groot is a GP in training with special interests in women’s health, paediatrics, and skin cancer treatment. She possesses advanced procedural skills, including Mirena and Implanon insertion, as well as complex skin surgery, offering a comprehensive range of services to meet her patients' diverse healthcare needs.

After completing studies at University of Queensland and Griffith University, her clinical expertise is underpinned by extensive hospital experience in surgery (general, vascular, and plastics), medicine, and critical care. Dr. Julia also holds qualifications in medical research, education, and children’s health. Currently a lecturer at Griffith University, she has over five years of teaching experience and has contributed several published research papers and presentations.
