Dr Ibrahim Merei

Dr. Ibrahim Merei earned his Doctor of Medicine degree with high distinction from The University of Notre Dame Sydney. Prior to that, he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Class I Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. During residency training, Dr. Merei worked at various hospitals including St George Hospital, The Sutherland Hospital and Calvary Hospital where he completed rotations in Endocrinology, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Obstetrics, Haematology, Renal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Merei is deeply committed to all aspects of General Practice, with a strong focus on chronic disease management and preventive care. In addition to that he has special interests in diabetes management, performing minor procedures, and providing antenatal care. Additionally, he maintains his procedural skills and stays up to date with current surgical practices through his regular work as a surgical assistant at various private hospitals.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Merei finds joy in playing soccer, exploring the outdoors through hiking, and capturing wildlife through photography.
