Meet Dr Kumarasamysarma Divakaran

Dr. Diva Divakaran joined the practice in July 2007. He came from Sri Lanka to Australia in 2001. He graduated in India in 2005 and worked there and also in Sri Lanka where he completed further training. In Australia he worked in Newcastle as a Registrar at the John Hunter Hospital in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department.
Due to his interest in General Practice, he moved to work as a GP Obstetrician in country NSW and then country Victoria for the last 4 years. During this time he completed his Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practice, Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology and also the Diploma of Child Health from Sydney University. He has much experience in Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Family Medicine. He also teaches for medical students at Melbourne University. He speaks Tamil, Singhales and a little Hindi.
