Meet Dr Chomalen Sivaratnam
Dr Chom completed undergraduate medical training in 2010 at Bond University and is awaiting fellowship of the RACGP. His postgraduate medical career has seen him pursue varied interests, including dabbling in neuroimaging research, obtaining experience in general and internal medicine, emergency medicine and intensive care medicine. Ultimately, he settled on general practice to find balance in caring for people of and at all stages of life, and responding to their unique questions and concerns.
Chom seeks to provide care that understands and respects that health is an idea that is different for each and every person. He will offer advice that is based on medical evidence, but tailor treatment based on individual patients' values and expectations. Where there are misconceptions about medicine, including what tests and treatments mean or can provide, he will try to clear these in an effort to provide a more realistic understanding of these concepts.
Outside of medicine, he continues to suffer as a fan of Arsenal, has a waxing and waning interest in most sports, is just short of having an obsessive interest in training and physical conditioning, and enjoys reading broadly.
