    Cheryl is an expert in medical nutrition therapy. She has worked in various sectors of nutrition – private practice, clinical services and research. Cheryl is also the Senior Dietitian for the Diabetes and Chronic & Complex Care services, at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney.

     

    Cheryl understands first-hand how difficult it can be to manage ones’ medical conditions, and does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to nutrition. She believes everyone can achieve their health & nutrition goals, with the right support, guidance & information.

     

    “No one should feel the need to eliminate, feel deprived, or guilty around the foods they love! It’s all about small positive changes, which leads to big change.”

     

    Cheryl translates the complex science behind nutrition, to tackle the heart of her client’s issues, using practical and evidenced-based solutions which suit their lifestyle. She provides her clients with:

    – Quality, personalised care & support to achieve their health and nutrition goals, especially for disease prevention and management.
    – Guidance & support each step of their health journey, to ensure positive, sustainable long term changes can be achieved
    – Food & nutrition knowledge and skills to empower them to be able to filter through all the conflicting information out there!
    – Effective communication with their healthcare teams to ensure multidisciplinary care is achieved.

     

    Cheryl’s areas of specialities are:
    – Diabetes & Endocrinology (Type 1 & Type 2 diabetes, Gestational diabetes, Steroid-induced diabetes, Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), Thyroid issues, Bone health, Coeliac disease)
    – Metabolic Health (Pre-diabetes, Weight management, Blood pressure, Cholesterol)

    – Cardiovascular disease, Heart Failure and COPD management
    – IBS/ FODMAP, GORD & Fatty liver disease
    – Muscle building & recovery for sports
    – Healthy eating for all ages
