We would like to inform you of some upcoming changes at Myhealth Rockdale that will take effect from September 1, 2024. These adjustments are made in alignment with the Royal College of General Practitioners' guidelines on billing policies and consultation fees. Here’s a summary of the changes:

About Myhealth Rockdale Medical Clinic
Practice
Myhealth Rockdale is a Mixed Billing medical center conveniently located in Rockdale Plaza.
Our aim is to provide the highest standard of patient care with professionalism, respect, integrity, and excellence. We are committed to promoting wellness through disease prevention. We strive to achieve the best possible health outcomes for all our patients.
This brand-new, purpose-built center offers a full range of medical services with Physiotherapy/ Allied Health and Pathology onsite. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, convenient, accessible, and professional service to all our patients.
Appointments and walk-ins are welcome however, patients with appointments are prioritized.
IMPORTANT: Whilst we make every effort to fit in all patients, we may NOT be able to take any walk-in patients around busy periods and closing hours.
*LONG APPOINTMENTS: Please call us if you have any inquiries regarding your bookings (eg. care plans, health assessments, iron infusion, excision, wound dressing, workers’ compensation, and child vaccinations). Unfortunately, we do not offer long appointments on weekends or Public Holidays.

Updated Fees and Billing Information
- Gap Fees: New rates will apply from September 1, 2024. Medicare rebates, set by the Federal Government, are subject to change and may affect out-of-pocket costs.
- Weekend and Public Holiday Gap Fees: A new gap fee structure will be introduced. Please see below for details.
Eligible Medicare Bulk Billing
For weekdays only, the following patients will continue to benefit from bulk billing with no gap fee:
- Children aged 15 years and under
- Valid Concession Health Care Card Holders (including Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card, Commonwealth Seniors Health Card)
- Department of Veterans Affairs (Gold, White, and Orange Card holders)
- Flu, Covid, and Child Immunisations
- Consultations for Chronic Disease Health Care Plans, Mental Health Care Plans, and Health Assessments
Telehealth Appointments
- Book Telehealth appointments through our website to ensure your payment details are secure.
- Telephone consultations are charged at $70, with Medicare claims processed on your behalf. Medicare rebates will be deposited directly into your nominated account.
Weekday Consultation Rates (Monday to Friday)
- 8am-5pm: $20 gap fee plus MBS item number
- For patients with Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) or Overseas Visitor Cover (OVHC): $20 gap fee
- We are affiliated with BUPA, NIB, IMAN, and AHM. Please bring your insurance card to avoid paying the full consultation fee plus the gap fee.
Weekend and Public Holiday Rates
- A new gap fee of $40-$50 will apply for all GP consultations, depending on the complexity of the consultation. This fee applies to all Medicare patients.
- NO bulk billing on weekends and public holidays.
- BUPA, NIB, IMAN, and AHM patients will only need to pay the gap fee.
Private Consultation Fees
- Short Consultation: $55
- Standard Consultation: $80
- Long Consultation: $120
- Extended Consultation: $150
Procedure Fees
- Laser Appointment for muscular & joint pain: $20 plus MBS item number
- Iron Infusion: $120 plus MBS item number
- Implanon Insertion: $50 plus MBS item number
- Implanon Removal: $100 plus MBS item number
- Implanon Insertion & Removal: $100 plus MBS item number
- Cervical Screening: $50 plus MBS item number (no gap fee for self-collection)
- Skin Cancer Check: $50 and up
- Skin Procedure/Biopsy Excision: $100 and up plus MBS item number
