Bulk Billing Update – Effective 1 November 2025
Starting 1 November 2025, our practice will bulk bill all Medicare-eligible patients for all consultations*, including weekends.
*The majority of GP appointments will be bulk billed. Please note that some services will still incur a fee, including:
- For procedures and certain specialised consultations
- For non-attendance or late cancellations the non-attendance fee must be paid before your next appointment
Overseas Students and Visitor Insurance Appointments
The majority of patients with student or visitor insurance policies will be billed directly to their Insurance company (when your policy allows and subject to your claim limits). Please note that some services will still incur a fee, including:
- When you do not bring your insurance card which enables the Practice to take a direct insurance payment ( you will pay the full amount and can claim it back yourself )
- Telehealth consultations where your insurance company does not automatically pay the full consult fees ( you may be able to claim back from your insurance policy subject to you policy conditions)
- For procedures and other specialised consultations
- New international students and overseas visitors will incur a $40 GAP payment on their first consultation at the Practice
- New international students and overseas visitors will incur a $40 GAP payment as walk-in patients (when no appointment is booked prior), on weekends and public holidays

When neither of the above are relevant to you circumstance private fees apply:
- Item 3 - $53.00
- Item 23 - $102.00
- Item 36 - $165.00
- Item 44 - $255.00

Parking Options:
• George Street Council Car Park (36 George St, Burwood): Take the lift, and you’ll find us just across the road. The first two hours are free with a Prime Parking permit.
• Myhealth Basement Parking: Accessible via John Street, this parking is available for patients who are disabled, elderly, or have mobility impairments, ensuring convenient access.
• Westfield Burwood: Free parking is also available at Westfield Burwood, just a short walk away.

About Myhealth Burwood Medical Clinic
Welcome to Myhealth Burwood
Myhealth Burwood is a bulk-billing medical centre located in Elsie Suites.
We bulk bill all MBS NRA item numbers, 7 days a week. Gaps may apply for other item numbers and procedures.
Patients using OSHC or OVHC insurance whose insurer does not cover the below Medicare item numbers will be required to pay the following fees
(in addition to any other item numbers or fees not covered for the consultation):
• Item 75870: $21.85
• Item 10990: $7.95
(Please check with your insurance provider, as some companies do cover these items.)
Appointments and walk-ins are welcome, and online bookings are available for your convenience.
Parking Information
Patients can park at the George Street Council Car Park (36 George Street, Burwood), located directly across the road from the clinic. The first two hours are free with a Prime Parking permit.
Basement parking via John Street is available for patients who are elderly, have disabilities, or mobility impairments.
Free parking is also available at Westfield Burwood, just a short walk from the clinic.
Vaccinations and Long Appointments
Please call the clinic to book any long appointments or childhood vaccinations.
Childhood vaccinations are not available on weekends.

Updated Billing Policy – In Line with the Medicare Universal Bulk Billing Initiative
From November 1, 2025 our billing policy has been updated to align with the new Medicare bulk billing initiative, providing Medicare-eligible patients the opportunity to access high-quality care with no out-of-pocket costs.
Please be sure to advise reception at the time of booking if you have a Health Care/Concession/Pension or DVA card, so we can add these to your files and avoid any unnecessary charges.
Whilst fees for Medicare-eligible patients can be bulk billed for many services, consultation fees are also outlined here to ensure transparency for all patients who choose the high-quality care at our clinic. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak with one of our friendly staff members.
Cancellation/Non-Attendance Policy
General Practice – Specialists
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be deemed missed, and a $50 non-attendance fee will apply, whether or not you are able to be seen in another appointment slot on the same day.
Other Specialist Doctors and Allied Health
48 hours prior notice required otherwise the deposit fee will be used for the non-attendance fee payment.
