    Meet Ankita Jariwala

    Ankita is a physiotherapist with a passion for helping people regain function and return to sporting activities. After graduating with Bachelors of Physiotherapy in 2010, she worked in an outpatient setting in Mumbai for 2 years working with spinal cord injury patients undergoing stem cell therapy before pursuing a graduate diploma course in Exercise and Wellness Program in Canada. She developed hands- on skills in Nordic skiing, kayaking, rock climbing and paddle boarding while studying the science of exercise, and eventually developed special interest in motion analysis of different sports and an understanding of those aspects of sport science pertinent to the game.

    Sports of interest include Badminton, Cricket and Tennis, and Physiotherapy areas of interest are pain management, women’s health, injury prevention and post-op orthopaedic rehabilitation. Ankita has gained diverse knowledge working with the Podiatrists before relocating to Australia which gave her the understanding of biomechanics of lower limb along with functional and physical therapy intervention for lower limb muscular strengthening, flexibility, ergonomic advice and counselling. She is passionate about helping people return to the activities that they love as well as their daily activities using Manual-therapy, Muscle energy techniques of Pelvis and Lumbar Spine, myofascial release, Dry- Needling, K-taping, personalized exercise prescription and client education.

    Clinic work remains a real passion for Ankita, as she enjoys treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. She believes that every day is a new learning opportunity and thrives off gaining new experiences and knowledge from every individual patient she treats. In addition to speaking English, Ankita also speaks Gujarati, Hindi and Marathi.
