Meet Dr Nicholas Shoung
Qualifications: FRACP, MBBS, MPH, BSc
Nicholas completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Griffith University, receiving the ‘Doctor and Health in the Community’ award and the ‘RACGP Kenneth Dalgliesh’ award as the top-ranking student in both subjects. He undertook Endocrinology specialist training in Queensland at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital before moving to Sydney to complete his training as the Pituitary Fellow at St Vincent’s Hospital.
In 2024, Nicholas moved overseas and completed a Master of Public Health at Université Paris Cité and a research thesis in the Department of Nutrition (Obesity) at Hôpital Européen Georges-Pompidou in Paris, France.
Nicholas manages all areas of General Endocrinology, and has a special interest in pituitary disease, osteoporosis, type 1 diabetes and insulin pumps, obesity management and thyroid disorders.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and basketball, and loves cooking for family and friends.
