    Meet Dr James Brown

    Dr James Brown is an obstetrician, gynaecologist and fertility specialist working in western Sydney for over 10 years. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney and has worked at Westmead, Blacktown and Auburn Hospitals.

    He currently works as Clinical Co-Lead for Patient Safety and Quality for Women's Health across the Western Sydney LHD, and provides IVF through Genea at Bella Vista. He is completing a PhD at the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation at UTS. His interests include infertility, miscarriage and colposcopy.

    Particular interests:

    • IVF and Infertility (both male and female) – including PCOS
    • Egg freezing or fertility preservation 
    • Recurrent miscarriage
    • Colposcopy – abnormal CSTs, symptomatic

    Other conditions:

    • Contraception – including permanent contraception with tubal ligation
    • Heavy menstrual bleeding – including ablation and hysterectomy
    • Pelvic pain and endometriosis
