The current services within Myhealth North Lakes include Dietician Services and Clinical Labs pathology.

Our practice is in Westfield North Lakes behind the Chemist warehouse East end of the shopping centre.

Appointments required, walk ins may be asked to return another time if no doctors are available.

For your added convenience we also accept online bookings.

Myhealth North Lakes  is no longer taking new patients

We would like to inform you that from First of July 2022, a gap applies for all consultations. The following patients will continue to be bulk-billed to Medicare for all general consultations with no gap fee when booked ahead:
• Patients aged under 16
• Patients with Health Care or Pensioner Concession cards

Fees for non concession card holders are:
Standard Consult $80.00 Rebate $39.10
Longer Consult $125.00 Rebate $75.75
Extended Consult $160.00 Rebate $111.50

However, this is not applicable for Mental Health Care Plan or Care Plan related consults.

For consults where a gap applies please ensure you book for a long appointment for multiple or complex issues or else you will need to return after having only booked a standard appointment and will be required to pay the gap for each appointment. Please be advised standard consultation bookings are allocated 15 minutes; long consultations are 30 minutes.

We are very committed to providing high quality care to our patients and community. The reason for the introduction of a gap fee for some patients is the rising costs of running a general practice and the reluctance of the government in funding these higher costs. A North Lakes Medical Centre Known for Providing Excellent Skin Care

The sad fact of medical care is that treatment quality is wildly uneven from clinic to clinic. Your paediatrician might be exemplary, while your GP might be dismissive of you. Your psychologist might be very empathetic and helpful while your gynaecologist might never seem to listen to you. Many Australians have likely found themselves wishing they could find a single location, a single clinic where they can rely upon all the practitioners to meet their needs as they arise. That’s what Myhealth embodies: a single clinic which covers many specialities and offers patients fair-minded, non-discriminatory, certified medical care. Your physicians will still be very different people, but all of them will share a respect for you and your comfort. Plus, all of these certified experts will be conveniently located at your nearest shopping centre. Welcome to our North Lakes Medical Clinic. Read More

Since 2007, we have been expanding to provide more and more Australians with non-discriminatory, accessible medical care. Our guiding principles are continuous improvement and fairness, both of which play a role in how we operate. We invest heavily in medical research to make sure the technology and practices are the best available to patients. We support and fund doctor training to make sure that every physician you meet with is qualified and reliable. That same training prepares GPs, nurses, and specialists for the sort of clinics we operate, which involves offering care that is free of any sort of prejudice or undue bias. We hope to offer the clinic of choice to Australians who feel let down by the system. We hope to offer services to Australians of diverse backgrounds who have been failed by other clinics elsewhere. The North Lakes doctors at our clinic can hopefully provide a different, more welcoming experience.

The Importance of Regular Medical Skin Care, Explained by the North Lakes Skin and Medical Centre

Many patients already know the importance of casual skin care. This refers to using widely available cosmetics to hydrate and soothe the skin, especially when dealing with acne, rashes, or dryness. It also refers to a collection of practices such as face masks and exfoliation. These can have a range of benefits depending on the product or practice as well as the skin condition in question. However, fewer patients realize or care about the equal importance of caring for your skin medically. That involves regular skin checks, taking rashes seriously, and consulting a professional whenever something is wrong. Below are some reasons why it’s important to offer your skin more than cosmetic care:

  • Cancers: A point of frustration for many physicians involves patients and their checking for skin cancer regularly. Melanomas are one of the most curable forms of cancer when detected and treated early on; most early cases of melanoma do not progress to become terminal. Furthermore, most cases of melanoma are first detected by patients rather than doctors. That’s why we highly and frequently encourage regular skin checks to be safe.
  • Infections: If you have a persistent rash that you are not sure is worth a walk-in to our doctors in North Lakes, it’s often best to come in and consult us. Rashes, especially those which leave behind sores or scabs, can leave the skin highly vulnerable to infection. Infections which evolve from a rash can be tricky to treat, so we advise against waiting to reach this stage.
