About Myhealth Oran Park
Myhealth Oran Park opened its doors in May 2016. It is located in the heart of the Sydney South West growth corridor Oran Park, within the Oran Park Family Health Building at the entrance to the Oran Park Podium.
This brand new, purpose built centre offers the highest standard of medical care with state-of-the-art facilities. We pride ourselves in offering a friendly, convenient, accessible and professional service to all our patients.
This is one of the most unique sites in the Myhealth portfolio as we operate in joint partnership with Sydney South West Local Health District. The clinic takes part in integrated primary care programs with close links to the local hospitals and the University of Western Sydney.

Please contact reception directly should you require a face to face appointment for skin cancer checks, immunisations or any other concerns.
Telehealth appointments are available if you have attended a face to face consultation with a doctor in the last 12 months.
ABOUT IUD INSERTIONS
IUDs (also known as an Intrauterine Device or Mirena) are used as a form of contraception, for control of heavy menstrual bleeding, or as part of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). The most common type of IUD, the Mirena, will be effective for five years and can be replaced with a new device after that time if required.
You may have already discussed IUDs with your usual GP. If you are interested in discussing IUD insertion further and being assessed to see if this is suitable for you, there is a three step process at Myhealth Oran Park. All of these steps must be with Dr Nisha Padmanabhan Nair. As she does IUD insertion.No other medical issues will be dealt with during these consultations including request for other scripts.
COSTS
IUD counselling and insertion requires medical expertise as well as the use of the treatment room, sterilised equipment and the Practice Nurse. For this reason NO consults relating to IUD Insertions will be bulk billed.
It is not possible to give a definite cost over the three consults as the length of consults may vary on the day.
BELOW ARE APPROXIMATE COSTS:
The initial consult will be a long consult $ 116.95 with an out of pocket cost of $44.15.
The insertion consult will be $220 with an out of pocket cost of $148. If the procedure takes longer the costs may increase.
The follow up consult will be bulk billed with no out of pocket cost but if the consult takes longer this would be a long consult with a higher cost out of pocket.
The total cost may be $374.75 to $409.75, with total out of pocket costs (after receiving the Medicare rebate) of $192.15 to $ 261.9 depending on the billing over the three consults.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Initial Consult: This will be a long consult (30 minutes). Information will be given about IUD’s and a pelvic examination will be performed including vaginal swabs and cervical screening if this is due.
Insertion Consult: This will be a long consult (30 minutes) in the treatment room with your doctor and one of the Practice Nurses. Your results will be discussed and you will be consented for the procedure. The IUD will be inserted.
Follow-up Consult: This will be a standard consult (15 minutes) six weeks after the insertion of the IUD to perform an examination and answer any questions related to the IUD.

Dear valued community,
In order to continue providing our services with rising costs, from 19th September 2022, we are changing our fees and becoming a mixed billing centre.
$30 – $50 Gap (out of pocket fee) applies for GP Consultations.
Bulk billing is available where eligible, for pension card holders, concession card holders and children under 16 years of age.

Cancellation/Non-Attendance Policy
We have a strict cancellation policy.
A $30 ‘Cancellation Fee’ applies for all missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 2 hours notice.
The GP's and Medical Centre reserves the right to refuse further appointment bookings until all outstanding Fees are paid. Thank you for your cooperation.
