Dr Tegan Athavale graduated from Sydney University in 2013. She has an Advanced Science Degree in infectious diseases and immunology and a Masters of Medicine in addition to her Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery degree.
She completed 3 years of hospital based training at Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards prior to completing speciality training in General Practice, including one year of training in Intensive Care. Tegan is a clinical tutor for medical students at Macquarie Medical School.
Tegan’s special interests including Child and Adolescent health, Women’s health, Antenatal and Reproductive health, Sexual health, PREP prescribing, Unplanned Pregnancy counselling and management support, Antenatal shared care with RNSH, Contraceptive care including Implanon insertion/removal and IUD removal and Iron infusions.
