Dr Maria graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and attained her Masters in Population Health from the University of Wollongong. She did her specialist training in Emergency Medicine and worked in areas of ICU, Anaesthetics, Paediatrics, General Medicine, Obstetrics, Gynaecology & General Practice. She continues to work in the Emergency Department as well as General Practice.

Her special areas of interest are:
• Emergency care
• Minor injuries – suturing, fractures, sprains
• Procedures – iron transfusions, venesections
• Women’s health – Contraceptive advice including Implanon replacement and Mirena removals
• Travel medicine
• Musculoskeletal Injuries

Maria is a kind, compassionate, empathetic and friendly doctor, who is renowned for her attention to detail.

In her free time, she enjoys painting, dancing, reading and enjoys travelling to explore new places as she believes in healthy work-life balance.
