Dr Ashley Fong is an experienced endocrinologist, specialising in fertility and reproductive medicine. Dr Fong is warm, approachable and thoughtful. Known for her meticulous approach to the presenting problem, she is committed in providing high quality care using evidence based medicine and the most effective treatment.

Dr Fong devotes majority of her private practice to female and male infertility issues with a special interest in endocrine related conditions such as oligomenorrhoea, polycystic ovarian syndrome, gestational diabetes, thyroid dysfunction in pregnancy, premature ovarian insufficiency and male factor infertility. Part of her practice includes assisting individuals to freeze gametes or embryos for various reasons (eg prior to commencing cancer treatment) and treating couples that require pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.

As an endocrinologist, she has the expertise in general endocrine disorders including insulin resistance, obesity, diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, hormone replacement therapy and disorders of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis.

Experience And Qualifications

Dr Fong obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Monash University, Victoria in 1999and obtained her Fellowship in Endocrinology (FRACP) in 2009. Dr Fong gained hands-on experience as a clinical fertility fellow with Westmead Fertility Centre and research fellow with the Department of Endocrinology of Westmead Hospital. As part of her training, she investigated and published her research on “Relationship of Vitamin D Deficiency in the Development of Diabetes in Pregnancy” and “Steroid Induced Hyperglycaemia in Hospitalised Patients”. ?

With over 8 years of experience as a fertility specialist, she has an in-depth understanding of the causes and treatments of infertility and is passionate about helping you achieve your fertility goals.
