Dr Rachel Lakemond



Special interests: Women’s health, Family Planning, Sexual Health, Children’s Health, Chronic Disease Management, Preventative Health Care, Diabetic Care, Minor Procedures.

Dr Lakemond completed her medical degree at Griffith University (QLD) in 2010 after completing the Bachelor of Science at University of Queensland in 2006. She then worked at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane for 2 years prior to moving to the UK. She spent 4.5 years in the UK, and used the time to gain valuable experience in the NHS, complete GP training with the RCGP and the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynacologists (DRCOG).

Dr Lakemond has experience in a broad range of health areas and enjoys seeing people of all ages and backgrounds, with simple and complex problems. She enjoys building a relationship with her patients and getting to know them as a whole person.
