Dr Priya has brought a variety of experiences into her evolving career as a family GP. She grew up on the South Coast and initially completed an undergraduate degree from the University of Sydney in Occupational Therapy. She worked for 2 years in OH&S, workers compensation and CTP.
Following this Dr Priya returned to The University of Wollongong and completed her post-graduate medical degree in 2010. She worked for two years at Liverpool Hospital in Western Sydney, followed by a year in Obs and Gynae at The Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick.
Dr Priya then completed 2 years working at a specialized Sexual Health and Men’s Health clinic at Sydney Hospital.
During this time she obtained her S100 approval for HIV Medicine prescribing, and the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health.
She is motivated and passionate about communication and medicine for all ages and backgrounds. Key areas of focus include; preventative health, chronic disease management, weight loss, pregnancy, sexual and reproductive health, HIV medicine, and mental health.
Dr Priya enjoys travel, a variety of sports, time with her family and friends, good food, wine and being near the beach.
