Dr Irene Tan

Dr Irene Tan is an experienced General Practitioner. She offers holistic patient-centred care as she believes that health includes not only physical but also emotional and spiritual components.

Dr Tan has completed her medical degree in the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. She worked in different countries and gained various experiences both in hospitals and community practices.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and has obtained a Certificate in Counselling and Community Services.

Her special interests include general family health/conditions, mental health, chronic diseases and preventative health. She speaks English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and few dialets including Hokkien and Teochew.

Her hobbies include travelling, swimming, cycling, going for a walk and playing the piano. She has done some voluntary works in local communities and overseas. She hopes to offer this community quality care.
